Physical books are printed locally in your region through our global print network, with production facilities across 30+ countries. Your book is manufactured as close to you as possible - faster delivery, lower cost, and a smaller carbon footprint than shipping from a single warehouse.
Once your order is placed, your personalised book is reviewed and sent to print. Please allow 2–3 business days for production before dispatch. This is in addition to the delivery times below.

You will receive a tracking link by email once your order ships.
Digital books are delivered within 48 hours of ordering (once your personalisation has been reviewed). You will receive a secure download link by email. The link is valid for 30 days and can be accessed on any device.
Because every book is personalised and printed specifically for your order, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds once production has begun, except in the cases below.
In these cases, please contact us at hello@dharma-dots.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and a description of the issue. A photo helps for physical damage.
Once your order is confirmed and personalisation begins, we are generally unable to cancel it. If you need to cancel immediately after placing an order, email us at hello@dharma-dots.com as quickly as possible. We will do our best to intercept before production starts, but cannot guarantee it.
This policy explains what information DharmaDots collects, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this simple because we think you deserve to understand it without a law degree.
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, delivery address, and the personalisation details you provide (your child's name, age, pronouns, and any preferences). Payment details are handled directly by Shopify and Stripe - we never see or store your card number.
We may also collect basic analytics data (pages visited, time on site) through our hosting platform. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Full stop.
Your order information is shared only with the services needed to fulfil it: our print fulfilment partner (to manufacture and ship your book), Shopify (our checkout and order management platform), and Stripe (payment processing). All third-party services we use are GDPR-compliant.
We retain order records for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time (see below), subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.
Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion; object to processing; and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dharma-dots.com. We will respond within 30 days.

By using the DharmaDots website and placing an order, you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not to trap you.
DharmaDots creates personalised children's books based on the Ramayan and Mahabharat. Every book is printed to order and personalised using the details you provide. We use AI-assisted writing, reviewed by a real person, to create your child's personalised scene - this is described clearly at the point of purchase.
When you complete checkout, you confirm that all personalisation details (name, age, pronouns) are correct. Because books are produced specifically for your order, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for incorrectly submitted details. Please see the Returns section above.
All content on this website (including text, images, design, and book content) is owned by DharmaDots and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission. Your personalised book is for personal, non-commercial use only.
DharmaDots is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or any product purchased. Our liability is limited to the value of the order placed. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Here's what we use and why.
These are required for the website to function. They include cookies set by Shopify to manage your cart and checkout session. You cannot opt out of these without breaking the checkout experience.
We use basic analytics (via Cloudflare) to understand how visitors use the site - which pages are most visited, how long people spend reading, and where people drop off in the order flow. This data is aggregated and anonymised. No individual is identified.
We do not run advertising campaigns or use any third-party tracking cookies (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tracking, no retargeting). We have no interest in following you around the internet.
